CORD MAGIC AND KNOT SPELLS
and how they can be used in bondage.
Here we use Shibari a traditional art of Japanese bondage and combine its incredibly beauty with the mystical work of knot magic.
The Cord:
A tool of the witch with deep magical significance used in knot magic. Learn and practice Shibari these ancient methods of tying as these elaborate artistic bindings will be our vessel for magic as we bind our intentions and set our wishes in rope, a length of cord of which will then promote our spell work such as banishing, binding or protection.
The methods used in cord magic vary widely and is not written in stone. What is important is you bind your intentions in the length of cord and make it your own.
Cord colours and fibres are totally up to you I always use natural hemp but then again, I’ve heard of witches using hair, cloth and even under wear in some cases. There is so much you can do; different colours and fabrics can be used to help set your intentions. As a rule of thumb, I tend to keep things as simple as possible.
It is also important to remember when working with a partner they also feel and know your intentions and gel with your aura your energy this will provide them with mental stimulation and relaxation while amplifying your spell work.
Some examples of why or when you would use cord magic:
In preparation of a ritual. You may incorporate some form of bondage/cord magic into your dress code to act as a level of protection of which after the ritual you would untie.
You may wish to bind a submissive to you for the duration of a public event or gathering of course only first through seeking their consent .
Your submissive or subject may have a bad habit in which you wish to banish. Both visualise your intention to drive the magic and break these habits as you untie the knots.
Before starting any type of cord magic sit with the length of cord/rope you’re going to use, feel its texture, look at it closely, attune to it and meditate over your intentions what you wish to achieve and see it happening know this is meant to be. You can even recite a spell if you wish to reinforce your goals.
When it comes to the tying of knots again put your intention in each one this can be done by reciting a mantra or kissing the knot anything that reinforces and strengthens your intention and wishes. You may wish to cleanse your cord beforehand with incense or even soak it in salt water this will add another level of protection to your spell you can also infuse the water with a particular crystal energy or oil essence.
There are many ways to incorporate and use cord magic and knot spells below I have listed a few ideas. Remember you can self-tie as well you do not always need a partner make it your own.
Candles, wax, and fire:
Knots can be inscribed in candles and empowered much the same ways as when using cord and work very well for banishing magic. Another option for banishing magic when working with cord is to burn your cord which contain the knot spell this gives a more dramatic ending to the spell for example, ending a difficult relationship or getting rid of negative energy in your life. Different coloured wax can also be used to seal a knot when using cord this is more favoured towards binding and protection magic.
Multiple cords:
More than one cord can be used together in different ways. Braiding three or more cords can be used to bind a coven, family, or group of friends together during difficulties and times of need. Two cords can be used to attract and bring things to you such as a loved one or a job. One representing you and the other what you wish to attract or keep your life such as a partner. Tie them together to bind your intentions and seal with wax.
Knot spells lend themselves to so many styles of witchcraft these are just some ways I incorporate them into my lifestyle there is no limit. Whether you want to keep it simple or go into more detail, cord magic and knot spells are an easy way to bring more magic into your life.
