Lunar Phases:

The Moon is the embodiment of the Goddess and is also an important source of natural energy that is essential in magic and our spiritual practice. In our house we use the lunar phase to determining the best time for magic, meditation and fasting.

There are basically two lunar phases: waxing moon (ideal time for positive magic – work should be concentrated on drawing what we want towards us) and waning moon (ideal time for banishing/negative magic, study, and meditation – work should be focused primarily towards banishing/rejecting what we want out of our lives).

In between you have the dark moon (the time of greatest power for banishing, negative magic and meditation as well as a time to look within) and the full moon (the time of greatest power for positive magic). During an eclipse, any type of magic worked or energy sent out will be amplified.

Full Moon Ceremonies:

Once in a month we gather in a secret place for full moon rites and ceremonies these have taken part on scared water ways of the English country side. travelling by canal boat where serpents sleep and undies watch over us the ferry man leads us deep into the other world onto the banks across the great river where the rose gardens and Goddess awaits her children or just like many of our ancestors of old did we meet secretly in places of private residents or practice at ancient sites in the dark of the night.

This is a time to enjoy the company of those who are close to us our clan, as we sit under the full Moon around a camp fire and eat and drink. Upon the witches hour ceremony's are held in honour of our Goddess these are often referred to as the great rite.

We follow the ways and practices of traditional water witches those who have gone before us the true custodians of sacred knowledge.
